Analysis of "A Poison Tree" by William Blake

A verse form that had some depth, in that I couldnt understand and perform up what the metrical composition was expressing at first glance. It is a poem that had a sense of mystery story around it. These characteristics are turf outionally patent in William Blakes poem A toxicant tree. Anger, fretfulness, and terror are very swelled in the short sixteen-line ensnare and sop up you from the start. In this paper, thither will be an argument that A Poison Tree is a symbolic representation for the lose of obstacle and self-com small-armd in man. An argument that Blake, if referring to himself in the poem, uses himself as the snake in the grass from the Garden of Eden, except as a ophidian with a conscious. The first stanza juxtaposes the see to it of garter and foe in a quite an de luxe way. The stanza reads, I was angry with my friend/ I told my wrath, my wrath did end./ I was angry with my foe/ I told it not, my wrath did grow. The contrast in actions relating to a friend in mark to a foe, is the applicable theme in this stanza.
